Yes, a good DJ can read a crowd and keep a dancefloor full but only an extremely experienced and professional one can take all aspects of this skill into consideration. This is especially important when you are performing to a diverse audience of different a tastes, ages and nationalities, which reflects todays many corporate company events, larger weddings, parties, clubs and bars needs. This is also a key factor when delivering smaller events, in fact in some cases this is even harder as you don’t have the safety of numbers.
A good example that comes to mind is of a wedding that we did in Cyprus a couple of years ago, there were only 7 guests! Because we took the time to sit down with the bride and groom and research what tracks were the most important to them and each guest, we were able to build a playlist that kept every single person at the event engaged, dancing and most importantly, happy.
When it comes to these type of events we only use professional DJ’s with a minimum of 15 years of experience , DJ’s that are ego free and totally approachable and if appropriate, always take requests from the crowd (unless specified differently buy our customers) The only time there are exceptions to this…….when you are delivering an event that has one set genre or one type of music.
